๐Ÿ“˜ Woolnique Poncho - new design for children and adults

Iโ€™m excited to introduce my new Woolnique Poncho, a warm, comfortable and wonderfully cosy design for children and adults created with the cooler months in mind.

The poncho is knitted seamlessly from the top down using Aran-weight yarn, making it a relatively quick and satisfying project. Knitting begins at the neck edge, with stitches gradually increased to shape the neckline and modified raglan. Once the body is complete, stitches are picked up around the neck to work the collar and then around the bottom edge to create the finishing band.

The main feature of the design is the beautiful central cable running down the front. It is separated from the stockinette fabric by columns of purl stitches, which help to define the cable and add extra texture to the design.

The simple turtleneck and moss stitch edging complement the cable without competing with it, while the modified raglan shaping and rounded bottom hem give the poncho a relaxed and flattering fit.

Woolnique Poncho is designed for both children and adults, so it can be made for the whole family. It is warm enough for autumn and winter, while the poncho shape makes it especially practical for layering over other clothes.

The knitting pattern is very detailed and beginner-friendly, with both charts and row-by-row written instructions included.

And for extra help, there is a free full-length video tutorial showing the knitting process step by step.

I hope Woolnique Poncho will become one of those cosy handmade pieces you reach for again and again throughout the colder season. ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿงถ
